Franchised coffee chain, Esquires Coffee has opened its 25th shop in Buckingham (Bucks) and aims to open five more by the end of the year.

The new store will be open next week for consumers (Monday 8 August) and will create 11 new jobs in the area.

Esquires Coffee marketing manager Kerry Noble told British Baker: “Things are onwards and upwards for Esquires. We will be trying out some news things in the Buckinghamshire site, such as changing our crockery, and altering our uniform to a more relaxed look.”

The coffee chain launched a refurbishment programme in May across its 24 stores, and this will apply to the site in Buckinghamshire as it looks to grow rapidly in the UK.

She added: “We’ve rebranded about half of our existing network stores so far in the UK and we will get the next lot done over the next year-and-a-half.

Esquires revealed that it will be opening new sites in Bradford in September, Dartford (Kent) in October, Yate (Gloucestershire) around November – December, as well as Guildford (Surrey) and Newport, which will be its first store in Wales.

Its ambition is to have 200 outlets by 2020 in the UK by attracting more franchises and multi-store operators.

Esquires Coffee Houses is an international chain of premium coffee houses, founded in Canada in 1993.
