Nairn’s has extended its gluten-free oatcake range with the addition of Super Seeded Oatcakes.
Available across retailers and key wholesalers for £1.80, the Gluten Free Super Seeded Oatcakes taps into the rising demand for healthy eating options in the free-from category and the growing trend for seeded products, according to Nairn’s.
Made from gluten-free wholegrain oats, Nairn’s Gluten Free Super Seeded Oatcakes, available in pouches of five, are high in fibre and contain a combination of flaxseed, sunflower and chia seeds. They are also suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Nairn’s is stepping up its place in the gluten-free market after opening a £6.5m gluten-free factory in Midlothian, Scotland, in March 2017.
Nairn’s believes the new addition will become a kitchen staple for consumers following a gluten-free diet and also works well with salads or soups.
“We have developed a Gluten Free Super Seeded Oatcake to tap into the continuing trend for seeded products and based on the success of our main category Super Seeded oatcake, which has fast become one of our best-sellers,” said Nairn’s UK sales director Paddy Cronin.
“2017 has seen us launch a number of new gluten-free products, with more still to come. Our investment in making our gluten-free factory bigger and more efficient means we have the capacity to expand our range further.”
