New supply deals have been secured by UK bakery businesses for products ranging from French pastries, Italian breads and Basque cheesecakes, to British-style cakes, pies, and pasties.
These include with local football teams, restaurants, and attractions, or with national supermarket retailers or food destinations.

Breakfast pastries, Beurre Patisserie
St Annes-based Beurre Patisserie has begun supplying a selection of its signature pastries a short way up the Fylde Coast to Beach House Blackpool restaurant for Saturday and Sunday breakfasts with a sea view.
The bakery business was launched in 2024 by co-owner Connor Westbrook and pastry chef Raf Perussi, who was fresh off making the final of Channel 4’s Bake Off: The Professionals.
Among the pastries supplied are croissants and pain au chocolat given a “different little twist” each week by Perussi. “We’re excited to see what he comes up with and love the dedication and the passion that goes into creating every single pastry,” said Beach House co-owners Hagop and Cheryl Tchobanian.
Sourdough and focaccia, Carmine Italian Bakery
Family-run wholesale business Carmine Italian Bakery has scored a hattrick of sorts with Liverpool FC by beginning to supply a range of products to the football club’s hospitality areas and boardrooms at Anfield as well as its AXA Men’s Training Centre in nearby Kirkby.
Players, staff, and supporters will tackle into the bakery’s artisanal offering including classic or wholegrain sourdoughs, rosemary or tomato focaccia, soft ciabattas, baguettes, bread bowls, French toast, and more.
Located on Jesse Hartley Way in Liverpool’s waterfront development area, the business was set up in 2023 by Italian baker Carmine Cillo who now has his son Andrea supporting its next phase of growth. It delivers six days a week to customers including restaurants, cafés, brunch bars, and sandwich shops across the city and surrounding areas.
Fairy cakes and cupcakes, Fiona Cairns
Leicestershire luxury cake brand Fiona Cairns has secured its first ever listing with Sainsbury’s involving two sweet treat lines made with golden sponge.
It has created an exclusive version of its popular Fairy Cakes (rsp: £7, six-pack) decorated with colourful fruit designs in fondant icing, sugar paste, and royal icing.
The supermarket retailer is also stocking the bakery’s Confetti Cupcakes (rsp: £7, four-pack) that are topped with coloured vanilla buttermilk and sugar sprinkles. These are available in 308 stores and online.
“This achievement is the result of months of hard work and collaboration across the business,” commented Johanna Lewis, senior commercial manager at Fiona Cairns, who noted every department had played a part in making the launch possible.
Pies and sausage rolls, Higgidy
Another sports deal with a Premier League club sees savoury pastry specialist Higgidy link up with the Seagulls – Brighton & Hove Albion FC. In fact, the Samworth Bros-owned brand is no stranger to stadia, having its named also displayed at Sussex Cricket ground and during several Rugby Super league games.
It is now supplying the Brighton’s American Express stadium (just about 20 minutes drive from its Shoreham0-by-Sea bakery) with a range of 200g pies plus a 200g sausage roll, to be sold at a dedicated Higgidy Pie Shop along with other hot food outlets throughout the 32,500-seater venue.
The four flavours of pie, each baked in shortcrust pastry (made with Wildfarmed flour) and a puff pastry lid, include a Steak & Onion Pie with Gravy; a Chicken, Ham & Leek Pie with a creamy white sauce; a vegan Chickpea & Spinach Masala Pie with tomatoes; and a Chicken Tikka Pie with red peppers. The sausage roll, meanwhile, comprises outdoor-bred British pork and caramelised onion chutney in puff pastry, free-range egg glaze and a sprinkling of poppy seeds.
Pies and pasties, HM Pasties
Having teamed up with Liverpool FC last year on a supply of match-day pies and pasties, Oldham-based social enterprise HM Pasties has now struck up a new partnership with East Lancashire Railway to provide selected handcrafted bakery products.
HM Pasties offers work opportunities to ex-offenders and said the deal with the heritage railway line reflects its continued expansion across the Northwest, working with organisations that share its commitment to community, quality, and positive change.
“This is a fantastic example of how a growing bakery business can combine commercial success with a meaningful social purpose,” said HM Pasties founder Lee Wakeham.

Cinnamon buns, House of Cinn
From a savoury specialist social enterprise to a sweet one, House of Cinn has added Waitrose to its list of stockists that includes Sainsbury’s, Selfridges Foodhall, Bloom Café, and DDC Foods.
Both the Classic and Salted Caramel flavour options are being brought to Waitrose in two-pack formats (rsp: £2.75). These are topped with Philadelphia cream cheese, with the latter line also featuring rich salted caramel and crunchy pecans.
In an exclusive interview with British Baker, House of Cinn co-founder David Martos revealed the brand had partnered with six UK charities to date, supporting initiatives that tackle domestic abuse, homelessness, loneliness, and provide opportunities for care leavers.
Basque cheesecakes, La Maritxu
The growing London brand has launched its Basque cheesecake range into Selfridges Foodhall on Oxford Street. These are baked at a high temperature to create a characteristic deeply caramelised, almost burnt top, while retaining a rich, smooth and creamy centre.
Customers can choose from flavours including Classic and Pistachio to the limited-edition Mango & Passionfruit Cheesecake. These are available in larger sizes for sharing down to the popular mini version priced at £14 each.
Founded and run by Basque Country native Lucia Larragoiti Fisher, La Maritxu opened its fourth site earlier this year, in Coal Drops Yard near Kings Cross station, and has just expanded outside the capital for the first time with a kiosk at Bicester Village.
