Interfood Technology has acquired fellow Buckinghamshire-based bakery equipment supplier Creeds Direct.
Following the deal, made for an undisclosed fee, Creeds is to continue operating as a separate company under its existing name, maintaining its own team, customer relationships, and specialist focus. The emphasis for its customers will be on familiar contacts, personal service and advice, with value for money an ongoing priority, noted Interfood.
Creeds was founded in 1961 as a stainless-steel table manufacturer, later introducing bakery utensils to its portfolio and expanding distribution nationwide. It was managed by Geoff Dearden, whose son-in-law Laurent Vincent took over in 1999 as it began importing high-quality bakery machinery from European brands. It now has an offering that extends from ovens, cold storage, proofing cabinets, and fryers, to pastry sheeters, dough dividers and moulders, bread slicers, flour sifters, fermentation tanks, and more.
Interfood Technology was co-founded by James Sydenham and Mark Bishop in 1999, and supplies bakery, processing, preparation, inspection, packaging and production line solutions to manufacturers across the UK and Ireland. It has exclusive distribution partnerships for the region with bakery equipment brands including Salva, Padovani, Beor, and Purpak, recently adding Italian specialist Domatic Sartori’s dough shaping lines to its line-up.

The sales, administration, and warehouse facility for Creeds is located in Aylesbury, just a 15-minute drive from Interfood’s 30,000 sq ft UK headquarters in Haddenham.
Together, the two suppliers will be able to offer customers access to additional equipment and sundries for different bakery applications, alongside combined technical knowledge and production expertise, backed by Interfood’s focused service and support.
“Creeds Direct is a highly respected business with strong expertise in supplying bakery equipment and sundries, and an excellent understanding of the needs of bakery producers,” commented James Fitch, head of sales (bakery) at Interfood Technology. “Its product range and specialist knowledge are a natural complement to Interfood’s existing bakery offering.”
