Nairn’s has expanded its gluten-free range with Chunky Biscuit Breaks.
Available in two variants – Oats, Dark Chocolate & Coconut and Oats, Blueberry & Raspberry – the biscuits are designed to be chunky in texture and offer more visible inclusions. They also contain 35% less sugar than the average gluten-free sweet biscuit, according to Nairn’s.
The biscuits contain 64 calories each and are packed in pouches of three. Each box contains four pouches and has an RSP of £1.79, available from Sainsbury’s, health wholesalers and independents. Waitrose and Asda will stock them from mid-October.
“Our gluten-free range continues to go from strength to strength – we’re adding to it all the time now that we have the capacity at our new state-of-the-art gluten-free bakery, which opened last November,” said Paddy Cronin, sales director at Nairn’s Oatcakes.
The brand rolled out gluten-free children’s products, called Astro Bites, earlier this year and announced it would be making larger pack sizes of its existing gluten-free range a permanent fixture. It has also recently unveiled a new look across all of its products.
