Greggs has launched a click and collect trial for breakfast orders in Manchester city centre.

The new service, which launched this week in three Manchester shops, allows customers to pre-order breakfast days or even minutes in advance via the Greggs Collect Manchester app. Currently trialling the service are the Parker Street, King Street and Manchester Victoria Station stores.

“The breakfast click and collect trial is the latest initiative we’re looking at, to help make life easier for our customers, by offering them quick and convenient access to our products during the morning rush hour,” said Roisin Currie, retail and people director at Greggs.

“Our strong customer base in Manchester makes it an ideal place to trial this service, which is designed to make life more convenient for customers in a busy inner city.”

If the trial is successful, Greggs has said it will roll out the app in other cities.

Greggs’ breakfast menu includes a range of pastries, porridge and granola along with breakfast sandwiches, baguettes, wraps and a full range of coffee, including a Pumpkin Spice Latte, which launched alongside the autumn menu.

Greggs offers its Greggs Delivered service in Manchester and Newcastle, which delivers to local businesses and homes in an eligible postcode area. It is also available for home delivery by UberEats in Newcastle.
