Greggs pastries are now be delivered to Londoners in a trial partnership between the food-to-go business and Deliveroo.
The delivery service is available from two Greggs’ shops in the capital – 243 Whitechapel Road and 143 Strand. Menu items including breakfast, coffee, savoury pastries and sausage rolls, as well as salads and sweet treats, can be ordered via the Deliveroo app or website.
The service has also launched in Newcastle and Bristol following a successful trial in Birmingham.
“When it comes to food-to-go, our customers tell us convenience is key. We’ve been working hard to make Greggs available to our customers when and where they want it, whether that be in offices, industrial estates, retail parks, travel hubs and at home,” said Greggs CEO Roger Whiteside.
“We’ve been working on our delivery services over the past year and, following a successful trial in Birmingham, we’re excited to launch a Deliveroo trial for our customers in London.”
Greggs has been shaking up its service model recently with trials in major cities.
In September it launched a click and collect trial for breakfast orders in Manchester city centre and in 2017 it announced its first UK drive-thru on the outskirts of the city. Late last year Greggs also teamed up with UberEats in Newcastle to trial a home delivery service.
