A bakery in north-west London has been fined for fly-tipping waste.

Willesden Magistrates heard that workers at Afghan Bakery and Catering, trading as Afghan Bakery in Church Road, Harlesden, dumped three bin bags of rubbish outside the store on 22 April, 2 May and 15 July last year, as well as one sack and one oil drum on 16 July last year.

Representatives for the business admitted four charges of depositing controlled waste on land, without an environmental permit, at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on 20 May.

The company was fined £100 for each offence and was ordered to pay costs of £300 and a victim’s surcharge of £20, a total of £720.
