This year’s Alliance for Bakery Students and Trainees (ABST) conference on 15-17 June at the Alton Towers Hotel in Staffordshire, attracted hundreds of bakery students from around the UK.

Attendees were able to watch live demonstrations from bakery, ingredients and packaging firms, as well as listen to a number of educational seminars led by guest speakers.

Day one of the conference was host to the ABST’s 82nd annual general meeting, as well as a cowboy- and cowgirl-themed evening for guests to enjoy, including line dancing, a rodeo bull and a fancy dress competition.
