New bagel brand Bagel Boy has opened its second outlet in Bristol, serving a menu including homemade bagel burgers, fries and beer.
The company, founded by Mitch Church and Leo Thompson in November 2013, plans to become a small independent chain of around five licensed sites, Church told British Baker.
Bagel Boy currently bakes 1500 of its own bagels a day and “could not be any busier”, he said. It has around 50 covers in both of its sites as well as supplying takeaway orders.
Church commented: “We decided to open Bagel Boy as there were no bagels in Bristol. We use all locally sourced produce and we are a young and fun brand. We are neither a burger chain nor a sandwich chain, we’re something new and individual.”
The menu includes hot salt beef or halloumi “boys” [sandwiches], fish finger supremes, patties, fries, sweet potato wedges and salads, as well as local beers.
