Hand-iced biscuit specialist Biscuiteers has launched a range of biscuit tins in collaboration with Disney.

The new products, which includes a Disney Princess Luxe Tin and a Mickey Mouse Large Letterbox package, are part of a licensing agreement with the media giant.

The Disney Princess Luxe Tin, priced at £65, features 12 hand-iced biscuits in the shape of Disney princesses including Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, and Cinderella, as well as themed treats in the shape of a shoe, shell, and book. The keepsake tin is also illustrated with images of the Princesses.

Featuring a Mickey Mouse shaped biscuit as well as two others, the Mickey Mouse Large Letterbox collection (priced at £27.50) can be tailored to either a Christmas or bespoke celebratory theme. The Christmas version features three gingerbread biscuits, including a Christmas tree and present tag which can be personalised with a name.

The Disney collection is available to purchase on Biscuiteers’ website and is part of a year-long collaboration with several launches in the pipeline, including three Disney Princess-inspired biscuits sold exclusively in Selfridges in the coming weeks.

“Bringing the enchantment of Disney into the world of Biscuiteers has been an absolute joy,” said Biscuiteers CEO Fran Pittaway who took up the position earlier this year.

“Our new collection celebrates some of Disney’s most beloved characters through the artistry of hand-iced biscuits – a perfect blend of storytelling and craftsmanship that we know will delight fans of all ages.”

Other licensed products in the Biscuiteers range includes The Snowman themed treats for Christmas, Paddington Bear ones, Beatrix Potter, and fashion house Lulu Guinness and Spanish shoe brand Manolo Blahnik.

Earlier this year Biscuiteers avoided administration through a pre-pack acquisition deal made by its founders and members of the management team. Biscuiteers’ restructuring helped safeguard around 160 jobs and ensures the long-term future of the brand, it said at the time.

The business has been expanding its routes to market with a distribution partnership with Moonpig and a listing with Ocado among the changes this year.
