One Stop has expanded its bakery range with 16 new own-label and branded lines rolled out at more than 700 stores across its UK estate.
Among the sweet baked goods debuting at the Tesco-owned convenience retailer are Simply Doughnuts Mini Ring Bites (rsp: £1.50 | eight-pack), One Stop Cinnamon Buns (£1.80 | two-pack), Tesco Raspberry Sponge (£1.60), and Tesco Chocolate Tray Bake (£7).
Customers can also take advantage of a two for £4 offer on a selection of new sharing packs such as One Stop Chocolate Cornflake Clusters (15’s), One Stop Flapjack Bites (20’s), One Stop Mini Chocolate Chip Muffins (16’s), and One Stop Millionaire Bites (22’s).
Five different Warburtons products are also being brought into some stores, including the recently launched Protein Power loaf (£2 | 700g) and Protein Thin Bagels (£1.90 | four-pack). Warburtons sales director Colin Bebbington told British Baker back in February that these would help the bakery giant capitalise on the protein trend.
The remaining new bakery items at One Stop are:
- Pitch Chocolate Filled Brioche (4’s)
- Warburtons Sliced Sandwich Rolls (4’s)
- Soreen Original Malt Loaf (260g)
- Lees Mini Snowballs (12’s)
- Lees Mini Teacakes (12’s)
- Warburtons Potato Cakes (6’s)
- Warburtons Gluten Free Tiger Bloomer (400g)
“Our team has been working hard to curate a refreshed selection of tasty bite sized treats, perfect for picnics and sharing,” commented Henry Maulik, head of product at One Stop. “If you prefer doughnuts, flapjacks or mini muffins, there’s something for everyone. Our new lines are at affordable prices and will no doubt elevate those upcoming gatherings.”
One Stop’s bakery expansion follows on from the successful overhaul of its fresh range, which started last October and had another batch of newcomers in April this year. – these marked the company’s first range reset in over two years.
The retailer is also working with local suppliers including Roses The Bakers in Sheffield, Luke Evans Bakery in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, John Dwyer Bakery in Leicestershire, and Brace’s Bakery in Wales to stock their products at selected stores in their respective regions.
“Working with local businesses in the area to offer our customers a range of baked goods including freshly baked rolls, sourdough cobs or sweet treats, reinforces our commitment to providing the communities we serve with exactly what they want and need,” added Maulik.
Among the 17 items chosen for listings are Roses’ Artisan Sourdough (£2.25), Luke Evans’ Bobbys Foot loaf (£1.55 | 400g), Dwyer’s Jam Doughnuts (£1.65 | four-pack), and Brace’s Moltid Bloomer (£1.30 | 400g).
“Being able to supply multiple stores across the country with our bread and bakery treats at the convenience of our customers is vitally important to our business,” said Jonathan Brace, director at Brace’s Bakery. “We’re sure One Stop customers will love these new products and they will become firm family favourites for years to come.”
