Blackburn-based cake manufacturer BBF has teamed up with Waitrose & Partners to launch four celebration cakes.

Its line-up comprises the Hedgehog cake, Lemon Layer cake, Millionaire’s cake and Rainbow Confetti cake. All rolled out nationwide last week.

  • Hedgehog cake features a chocolate sponge and party hat.
  • Lemon Layer cake has naked sides, a lemon buttercream and curd filling with a sprinkle of meringues.
  • Millionaire’s cake (£14) contains madeira, chocolate and caramel sponge, a flavoured buttercream and toffee filling, caramel flavoured buttercream coating, a chocolate flavour drip topping, chocolate-coated malt balls, chocolate curls and chocolate shards.
  • Rainbow Confetti cake (£13) comprises a madeira sponge filled with coloured buttercreams, a buttercream coating, and Hundreds & Thousands with a frosting decoration.
