There are crowns and corgis galore on everything from lavish celebration cakes to humble gingerbread biscuits, indulgent brownies and pimped up Victoria sponges.

Corgi Cake, Morrisons

Morrisons has commemorated the Queen’s pet of choice with Clarence the Corgi Cake. The cake, which was named following a Facebook competition, is a chocolate covered Swiss roll decorated with red, blue and white sprinkles. Clarence is finished with an edible face, boots, and a Union Jack crown. It serves 12 people and costs £6.

Morrisons has also created an Elizabeth Sponge cake in honour of the Queen. It follows the recipe of a Victoria sponge layered with strawberry jam and whipped cream before a Morrisons cake maker tops it with fresh strawberries and a dusting of icing sugar. The cake costs £4 and serves six people.

Crownies, Hummingbird Bakery

The Hummingbird Bakery has given some of its beloved classics a Jubilee makeover with pieces of hand-cut fondant and hand-piped detailing to dress them for the occasion.

Kicking things off are Crownies – indulgent frosted brownies decorated with a fondant crown. The Biscuit Bar, meanwhile, is a firm favourite of the company’s head baker. Similar to tiffin, the Biscuit Bar features a biscuit base loaded with chocolate, raisins and cherries then layered with a slab of gold coloured milk chocolate and finished with a silhouette of the Queen’s head made from fondant.

Hand decorated cupcakes are also on offer alongside a Red Velvet Jubilee Cake which is smothered in cream cheese frosting and finished with a golden fondant wreath and the Queen’s profile, as well as a Vanilla & Raspberry Jubilee Cake which is the bakery’s take on a Victoria sponge filled with raspberry jam and buttercream encased in a lilac buttercream frosting.
