Genius Gluten Free has launched its first bagel line as part of a package of three new products.
The gluten-free specialist is producing both plain, and cinnamon & raisin bagels, which went into multiples at the end of February and carry an RRP of £2 for four.
At the same time, Genius launched its Seeded Brown Farmhouse Loaf. Made to boost the company’s pre-packed bread range, the loaf contains a mix of linseed, millet seed and golden flaxseed and has an RRP of £3.
David Shaw, commercial director at Genius, said: “Genius is growing at almost twice the rate of the category [+32.5% ] as we continue to expand our portfolio to provide consumers with more gluten-free options to suit multiple meal occasions.
“With shoppers buying 15 loaves of Genius bread every minute in GB Grocery in 2015, we’re confident that the new launches will meet this growing demand and drive category growth.”
Market analyst Mintel recently predicted the UK free-from market would grow 13% in 2016.
