Free-from brand Too Good To Be Gluten Free has launched a range of snack packs into Waitrose stores.
Available on a £1 promotion, the additions comprise an 80g cocktail sausage pack and 80g Mini Scotch egg pack, containing seven to eight sausages and mini scotch eggs respectively.
The new additions will target the growing snack market and provide “more depth” to its snacking range, said the supplier, adding it had seen high level of sales for its other snacking products, including a 140g pork pie and 110g sausage roll.
Sam Benjamin, brand and marketing manager at Too Good To Be Gluten Free, said the new snack bags would sit perfectly in food-to-go or meal-deal sections, and offer a gluten-free snack option for customers.
“We are really pleased to be working with Waitrose on the launch of the new snack bags. As with all our product offerings, taste as well as the absence of gluten is central to the proposition,” Benjamin said.
“The new snack bags are essentially indistinguishable in taste from the gluten alternatives and will be perfect for reaching coeliacs, those who make the odd purchase of gluten free, and the massively growing gluten-free lifestyle market.”
In May, Too Good revealed that rising free-from trend drove a 74% rise in turnover.
