Depositing equipment supplier Unifiller Systems has been acquired by Linxis Group, owner of brands including VMI, Diosna and Shick Esteve.

Unifiller, which supplies portioning and depositing equipment for small and mid‐sized bakeries, is based in Vancouver, Canada, but has offices across the world, including a UK site in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

“We are very pleased to join the Linxis team, we share the same passion for innovative solutions and the same focus on operations,” said Unifiller CEO Mark Soares. “Our strategic view is fully aligned and we are convinced Linxis can help us in the next phase of our expansion.”

Linixis Group supplies specialised equipment for the bakery, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, and is the parent company of mixing technologies businesses VMI and Diosna, and ingredient dosing systems supplier Shick Esteve.

The business, which employs 800 people in locations including France, Germany and the US, is owned by IK Investment Partners, which recently acquired Mademoiselle Desserts.

“With its portfolio of market‐leading equipment, strong reputation and robust track record of success, Unifiller is a perfect fit for Linxis,” said Linxis Group CEO Didier Soumet.
