Gluten-free bakery Davina Steel has unveiled a baked on-the-go range to tap the snack pack trend.
The range, available now, comprises seven sweet and savoury snacks:
- Crostini (£1.99/60g) in Garlic & Rosemary; Onion; and Lightly Salted
- Biscotti (£2.75/100g) in Lemon & Poppy Seed and Orange & Choc Chip
- Shortbread Biscuits (£1.99/100g)
- Gingerbread Mini Bites (£1.99/100g)
Following the success of its home-baking kits and mixes, the company said it had decided to tap demand for easy-to-carry snack packs. It expected the products to prove popular as impulse purchases and every day treats.
“Ever since we opened our own purpose-built gluten free bakery last year, it has been our intention to create our own branded bakery range,” said Davina Steel, co-founder of the brand.
“We’ve noticed a huge gap in the market for good-quality and delicious gluten-free snacks that can be enjoyed on-the-go. There’s little out there to cater for this category so we’ve filled the gap with a range that should appeal to all tastes and eating occasions.”
All the products are made using natural ingredients with no preservatives or chemicals.
