Christmas bakery ranges 2026

The most wonderful time of year is fast approaching, with retailers and brands looking to spread comfort and joy at festive gatherings with their bakery innovations.

Among the new shareable savoury snacks unveiled for shoppers to present to their party guests are Duck Toast with Hoisin Sauce at Morrisons, Pigs in Blanket Wreath at Sainsbury’s, and Red Leicester & Guinness Pork Pies at Tesco. Or how about cute Polar Bear Bao Buns from Waitrose?

As can be expected, there’s a wealth of sweet bakery treats stocked for the festive season. Mince pies are still a must, with Waitrose coming out with a Pistachio & Sour Cherry Frangipane version, while Sainsbury’s gifts a daily dose of mini mince pies in advent calendar format. A chocolate enrobed Snowy Tree Delice has been rolled out at Tesco, and Morrisons has combined two bakery favourites with its Gingerbread Doughnut.

Moving on to mains, and for those that want it all in pastry can do so with Waitrose’s Turkey, Chicken & Duck Pie with a Champagne Sauce. Responsibly sourced ingredients feature in the Hebridean Salmon & Scottish Langoustine En Croutes from Sainsbury’s, and vegetarians will delight in Tesco’s Maple Roasted Winter Vegetable Wellington.

Rounding off the meal are showstopping dessert options ranging from a White Chocolate & Red Velvet Yule Log at Tesco to a Sticky Toffee Pudding Trifle at Morrisons. Something with undeniable visual appeal is the Sainsbury’s Driving Home This Christmas chocolate mousse on a biscuit base, which is moulded into the shape of a present-laden car.

Meal deals have been enhanced with the additional of new festive sandwiches and wraps. Tesco’s Turkey Pastrami Panettone Style Roll looks like a merry good on-the-go option, as Sainsbury’s embraces the trend in Japanese-style sweet sandos by launching the Apple Crumble Christmas Sandwich.
