Invicta, the British bakeware company, has been awarded Investors in People status.

The North Yorkshire firm, which has been trading for more than 100 years, currently employs around 30 staff - with many having long service records.

Investors in People is the UK’s leading accreditation for business improvement through people management and enables managers and employees at all levels to build their skills, improve their performance and achieve their potential.

John Waddington, managing director of Invicta, said: “I am thrilled we have achieved this accolade. Invicta has an amazing team of staff who work hard every day to provide the best possible service to our customers – whether this is producing finely crafted items in the factory, making deliveries or providing sales advice.

“It has often been said that an organisation is only as good as its people but I sincerely believe this to be the case and our members of staff are very much the cornerstones of the business,” he added.

Earlier this year, the company launched a new trading division – Food Industry Supplies – to offer a complementary range of plastic products alongside its metalware collection. This involved the introduction of new tooling equipment.
