Dunkin’ Donuts has announced plans to open 1,400 new stores in China over the next 20 years.
The doughnut company has entered a franchise agreement with several investment firms, and is set to increase its brand presence in China, where it currently has 16 shops.
The business is not the first to announce expansion plans in China, with Pret A Manger announcing last summer that it was considering growth in the market.
In December Starbucks also announced its intent to expand into China with an ambitious five-year expansion plan.
Dunkin’ Donuts currently has three franchises in the UK.
