Gail’s Bakery has upgraded its EPOS and stock control technology across its 47 sites.
Having outgrown the tablet and Wi-Fi system previously used in its bakeries, Gail’s has opted to use Access Hospitality’s EPOS and Stocklink programmes.
The programmes have been installed with bespoke bakery ordering processes and staff training, as well as hybrid use of new and existing hardware, such as printers and cash drawers, to minimise costs, Access Hospitality said.
Gail’s CEO Tom Molnar said: “We were happy to draw on the equipment and technology that Access offers, and also the best practice implementation. We’ve been impressed with the mix of professional services and delivery, so far.”
In addition to the benefits of faster transaction times, Access Hospitality said that immediate efficiencies were also noticed within reporting systems with Gail’s head office, as the new system enabled live transactional data to be taken for staff to create their own business intelligence reports.
Roll-out of the new systems is now complete, and further work has started to integrate e-commerce applications, including reducing waste within the stocking process, as the next steps in further business expansion.
