McVitie’s has announced the launch of three cake bites tubs, featuring Digestives Mini Milk Choc Tiffin, Caramel Crispies, and Hobnobs Mini Milk Choc Teacakes, each in a sharing format.
Available across grocery and convenience stores for £2.50, the new McVitie’s cake tubs aim to accelerate growth for cake in the evening sharing category, with sales expected to reach over £5m in its first year.
Claire Hooper, marketing manager for McVitie’s, said the company was excited to launch the new McVitie’s cake tubs as the ‘mini’ phenomenon continues to become increasingly popular among consumers.
“The range is demonstrative of our continued commitment to growing the sharing sector for cake and we are confident shoppers will respond well to this latest addition to our popular cake range,” she said.
“With its vibrant packaging and delicious taste, we’re sure this product will be flying off the shelves.”
The launch will be supported by an in-store shopper campaign, which will focus on promotional activities.
McVitie’s recently unveiled its first new retail range for 2017, with the launch of Digestive Thins in three variants.
