Brioche Pasquier has introduced a six-strong sweet and savoury mini-cakes range.
Available now, the Petits Fours Mirlitons range, which come in boxes of 48, comprises chocolate sponge, coconut macaroon, Bakewell sponge, apricot & pistachio sponge, caramel & apple sponge and nutty sponge.
Baked in France by pâtissiers using French produce and traditional recipes, the range will be the bakery’s fourth collection of petits fours, which are frozen after baking and have a shelf life of 18 months.
The French bakery and patisserie producer said the range was balanced to create an ‘elegant addition to afternoon tea, or small bites to enjoy with a tea or coffee or as a mini-dessert’.
“The new collection is based on the lightest of sponges in six flavours,” said Brioche Pasquier’s foodservice sales manager Jon Turonnet. “We believe these make a particularly strong contribution to an afternoon tea offering. Each has its own individual identity, bringing the best of French pâtisserie to the small sweet bite.”
Brioche Pasquier recently opened its second UK production line at its site in Milton Keynes, with more four lines planned in the next 10 years.
