Canadian bakery business Tim Hortons will open a third site in Cardiff today (22 February), on Albany Road.
Opening at midday, the 1776 sq ft site continues the chain’s nationwide roll-out and will bring in more job opportunities throughout the Welsh capital.
As part of the launch, the chain has offered the first 100 people who enter the new site a free lunch combo, and the first person in the queue will be given a VIP coffee card and a year’s free coffee.
“This will be our third restaurant in the city and we can’t wait to welcome more guests to enjoy Tim Hortons,” said chief finance and commercial officer Kevin Hydes. “Our two current Cardiff restaurants are proving exceptionally popular, so it’s a great time to be announcing our continued expansion.”
Consumers will be able to purchase Tim Hortons’ hot and cold drinks, such as tea, coffee and frozen lemonade, as well as well as baked goods such as its signature Timbits – bite-sized doughnuts that come in a variety of flavours.
Tim Hortons made its UK debut in May 2017, opening a site in Glasgow, and has since opened further sites in Cardiff, Belfast and Manchester, including its first drive-through.
