Subway is to promote its low-fat sandwiches in a new healthy eating campaign, as part of its commitment to the Government’s Public Health Responsibility Deal.

The sandwich chain will be launching a television ad, which will highlight it range of nine ‘healthy’ sandwiches, which contain less than 5g of fat and 370 calories.

Manaaz Akhtar, head of marketing for Subway stores in the UK and Ireland, said: “‘The Live Fresh, Eat Fresh’ campaign is designed to raise awareness of the low-fat sub range at Subway stores.

“We want customers who are interested in a healthy lifestyle to feel confident they can head to a Subway store when in search of a healthier lunch.”
