London-based Cavan Bakery has secured two supply deals after expanding its production facilities.
The business, which has 13 stores in and around London, this year moved to a 15,000 sq ft purpose-built site in Walton-on-Thames to meet growing demand for its artisan goods.
It has since agreed to supply two businesses, The Lensbury Club health and wellness centre in Teddington, and Garson’s Garden Centre, which operates sites in Surrey and Hampshire.
“These two businesses have synergy with our own core values and showcase the very best, locally crafted artisan products,” said Cavan Bakery CEO Jeff Greenall. “We’re proud to be able to bring our delicious baked goods to their audience and look forward to seeing what the partnerships will bring.”
Led by head baker, Hicham Ezzaouaoui who has been a part of the business since 2009, Cavan has a team of 25 bakers.
The Lensbury Club was formed in 1920 as the sports and social club for employees of Shell. It became a sporting facility that still hosts sports people and teams preparing for upcoming competitions, and opened to local members in the 1990s.
“As a local business with their bakeries essentially on our doorstep, it made perfect sense to us to strike up this partnership,” explained The Lensbury Club operations director Lukasz Stawick.
Garson’s was created in 1871 as a mixed farm, and now has garden centre, farm shop and restaurant locations in Esher, Surrey, and Titchfield, Hampshire.
“We love nothing more than supporting local businesses creating incredible products,” said Garson’s Farm Shop deli supervisor Karen Fowler. “We have no doubt Cavan Bakery will be a great addition to our range and will be an instant hit with shoppers and visitors to our garden centres.”
