Cooplands Bakery has raised £196,000 for air ambulance charities in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and County Durham.
By supporting the three charities since 2015, the bakery has raised more than £65,000 for each one.
It thanked customers for their generous donations, noting the Air Ambulance service is “a real lifeline” in the regions in which it operates.
“We’re so happy to have raised this much money for such incredible and impactful charities and we’d like to thank our customers for all their generous donations,” said Jade Normington, marketing manager at Cooplands Bakery.
“The Air Ambulance service is a real lifeline and we really appreciate all the hard work they do to ensure we are safe.”
The Air Ambulance charities are a rapid response emergency service, providing lifesaving care for the local region. Last year, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance alone attended 1,858 incidents and carried 416 patients to hospital for emergency treatment.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance team thanked Cooplands Bakery for its support and said that the money raised would help tremendously towards the vital funding of its service.
