Bakers, cafes, coffee shops, and small businesses across the UK are urged to signed up for National Doughnut Week 2025 to help raise money for charity and showcase their doughnut-making skills.

Taking place from 10-18 May, the week sees businesses raise vital funds for The Children’s Trust – the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury – through the sale of doughnuts.

The week’s sponsor, CSM Ingredients, is encouraging bakers to ‘let their imaginations run wild’ when it comes to flavours and fillings although traditional jam doughnuts are always welcome.

“Bakers, cafes, delis and restaurants, big and small across the UK dough-nut forget to register to take part in National Doughnut Week,” said James Dedman, CSM Ingredients General Manager UK & Ireland. “It raises important funds for The Children’s Trust and participants get to showcase their creativity and imagination.”

Registration can be done via the National Doughnut Week website where bakers will also find lots of hints and tips, as well as resources to help generate sales and make the most of the week.

“There’s also an easy-to-use online bakery finder so visitors to the site can quickly locate their local participating baker,” Dedman highlights.

The charity week was launched in 1992 by Christopher Freeman, co-owner of Dunns Bakery. Since then, it has gone to raise £1,147,546 in total.

The Children’s Trust helps with delivering rehabilitation, education and community services through skilled teams who work with children and young people, and their families.

“We are incredibly grateful to be chosen as the charity to benefit from National Doughnut Week. These vital funds enable us to help children with brain injury restore lost skills or develop new ways of doing things, all the time supporting the family transition home and plan for the future,” added Michelle Martin, director of fundraising and communications at The Children’s Trust.

All administration costs for the week are covered by the sponsors.
