Bakers have one more week to enter the British Baker Christmas Stars competition 2019.
Any professional baker or bakery retailer, regardless of size, now has until Monday 16 September to enter their products across eight different categories:
- Christmas Cakes, Pastries & Tarts
- Christmas Puddings
- Festive Biscuits (Sweet and Savoury), including Gingerbread
- Festive Bread, including Panettone
- Free-from Christmas Bakery
- Mince Pies – sponsored by Flemings Zeelandia
- NEW for 2019: Festive Savoury Pies and Pastries
Products are judged blind by a team of industry experts, who score the items on key criteria including appearance, taste, aroma and value. A Winner and Highly Commended product are selected from each category meaning the creators of those products can use the Christmas Stars logo on all marketing materials and packs.
