A Beetroot Multiseed Sourdough loaf produced by Seasons Bakery has been declared Britain’s Best Loaf 2017.
Dan Nemeth of the Yorkshire-based business collected the award at the Farm Shop & Deli Show at Birmingham’s NEC today (24 April). His bakery’s sourdough loaf was chosen as the standout winner from the award’s five categories: white, sourdough, innovation, wholegrain and gluten free.
Sponsored by Rank Hovis, the awards this year attracted more than 150 entries.
The panel of expert judges included Lee Smith of Bexhill Farm Kitchen, who 12 months ago won the Britain’s Best Loaf competition for the third time.
