Ferrero Foodservice has unveiled two Nutella dispensers designed to give businesses new ways to use the spread.
The dispensers, which are shaped like Nutella jars, use a 1kg Nutella cartridge and serve up a 15g portion of spread. According to Ferrero the dispensers guarantee less than 4% product waste and, thanks to their temperature control, can control the fluidity of the spread to ensure the right consistency.
Ferrero has partnered with equipment supplier Sephra to offer the dispenser in two versions: manual and electronic. The manual version, which is designed to be used by bakers and caterers back-of-house, dispenses using a pull lever. The electronic version is targeted at self-serve scenarios and has a one-touch operating system.
Ferrero stated that, following a trial, 80% of professionals said they would use the dispensers in their operation, with 70% praising the dispensers’ convenience.
“Our dispensers give operators a new way to drive those impulse purchases while consumers are out-of-home, and benefit from the big brand power of the Nutella name,” said Ferrero UK & Ireland Foodservice Channel Operators Manager Zareen Deboo.
Citing Mintel, she added that customers will pay more for the taste of a well-known brand.
“With our innovative new products, we can help operators boost their business and appeal to consumer demand,” she said.
The new 1kg Nutella cartridge can be used with the dispensers, or as a standalone product. Operators can claim a free three-piece nozzle kit to unlock a variety of uses from filling croissants to topping waffles.
