Biscuiteers is to sell a selection of its hand-iced biscuits via online retailer Ocado.

The collaboration sees several items from Biscuiteers’ gifting range available to order directly from Ocado, including the iconic Champagne Charlie Jolly Ginger and Bouquet of Flowers Letterbox Biscuit. Ahead of Easter, there are also two Easter-themed biscuits to choose from – the Easter Chick Letterbox Biscuit and Easter Bunny Jolly Ginger.

They join the range of more than 900 biscuit options on the Ocado website, ranging from everyday staples to gifting options.

As part of the partnership, Biscuiteers will also join Ocado’s Buy Women Built initiative, a digital aisle on Ocado selling more than 1,000 products made by female entrepreneurs including Little Moons ice cream, Pip & Nut peanut butter, and All Dressed Up sauces. Buy Women Built, of which Biscuiteers founder Harriet Hastings is a founding member, is an umbrella organisation working to promote and celebrate a community of like-minded, female led brands by signposting their incredible products.

“We are delighted to partner with Ocado to bring our Biscuiteers personalised gifting range to an even wider audience,” commented Hastings. “This collaboration allows us to offer customers the convenience of ordering our luxury handmade gifts online alongside their other Ocado groceries. We’re especially proud to continue to celebrate women-led businesses and as a founding member of Buy Women Built to become part of Ocado’s Buy Women Built digital shopping aisle”.

The hand-iced biscuit specialist is gearing up for further growth having just appointed its first-ever external CEO. Francesca Pittaway, previously commercial director at Not On The High Street, joins this month and is tasked with business-to-business growth and commercial partnerships, alongside enhancing the brand’s international retail presence. Hastings has now become creative director.

The business was founded in 2007 and now delivers to 117 countries. Each biscuit is iced by artists at its purpose-built head office in Wimbledon, London with more than 3 million sweet treats being made by the firm every year. It also has two Icing Cafés in London’s Belgravia and Notting Hill areas, where biscuit fans can learn how to ice like a Biscuiteer.

In addition to direct sales via the Biscuiteers website and cafes, the brand is stocked in retailers including Selfridges, Liberty, Harrods, Ocado, and Hamleys. It also partnered with online greetings cards supplier Thortful last year.
