Nisa’s own-label biscuit range has been redesigned in response to member feedback and new health recommendations.
Packaging on the entire Heritage range has been overhauled to increase clarity on biscuit ingredients.
“We listened to what our members said about our biscuit range. They felt the original blue packaging was confusing as compared to most other biscuits that use specific colours for certain types of biscuits,” said Heritage brand manager Tracey Redfearn.
A new pricing structure has also been introduced. According to the firm, members felt pricing did not compare favourably to other brands.
Apart from three lines in the range, all biscuits were priced at two for £1, which is “much more competitive for shoppers”, said the firm.
Some recipes have also been tweaked to reduce salt and sugar content, in line with Public Health England’s recommendations.
The range was made available to Nisa Retail members for sampling at a recent exhibition at Stoneleigh. It was also served to Nisa colleagues at the North Lincolnshire headquarters as part of a taster event.
Redfearn said feedback on the biscuits “has been extremely positive”, with no quality compromises despite recipe alterations.
