New York Bakery Co has added to its range of bagel thins with a soft seeded variant.
The Soft Seeded Bagel Thins contain sunflower seeds, linseeds and oats, and have 7.2g of fibre per 100g and 128 calories per thin. Priced at £1 for a pack of four pre-sliced thins, they’re available now in Waitrose and Ocado and will be in Asda from August.
“Consumers are looking for added health benefits in their bread, and we have listened. The products have already tested well with consumers who crave that delicious chewy taste but don’t want something quite as filling as our standard bagels,” said Christina Honigfort of New York Bakery Co.
“Since we re-launched Bagel Thins in May 2017, we’ve seen a 58.1% uplift in unit sales and our new flavour will see that success continue.”
The range was relaunched with Original Bagel Thins and a new Cinnamon & Raisin variant and new packaging. The latest piece of NPD follows the company’s biggest ever campaign, which saw a £4m investment in the brand, including a multi-channel campaign, as well as improved bagel recipes across the range.
