Turkish bakery brand Simit Sarayi is in talks to launch in the UK, it has been reported.
According to Property Week, the brand plans to open 50 sites by 2017.
A debut bakery is expected to open around Piccadilly Circus, London, next year.
Speaking to Property Week, Abdullah Kavukcu, chairman and chief executive, said the brand hopes to open five company-owned stores in London in 2014. It then aims to expand across the UK.
Bakery items include feta cheese pastry, potato pastry, seven-grain pastry, olive savoury buns, veggie ciabatta pizza, scones and a variety of flavoured cookies.
It is reported that Simit Sarayi is also looking at expansion in the US for 2014.
