Ingredients supplier Bakels is set to launch a live broadcast series of bakery demonstrations on its Facebook page.
Beginning on the 17 August from 1pm, Bakels’ artisan bread expert Steve Burgess will be showcasing the Artisan Concentrate 7% mix to bake artisan breads. Burgess will be making baguettes during the broadcast, including tips on how to process the dough using its mixes.
Bakels aims to reach out to customers and engage more on a “live” basis for bakers to view and ask questions during the broadcast in the comments section.
“Bakers who start early and finish work, or on their lunch-break, can hopefully tune-in. We’re in the planning process at the moment to prepare for Thursday [17 August],” said Michael Schofield, marketing manager for Bakels.
“While we fully respect the skill of the artisan baker, we recognise that not every bakery has the time and skills available. This is why we have introduced Artisan Concentrate 7% and sister product Artisan Complete, which both reduce the time and complexity in making sourdoughs, but deliver the authentic taste associated with artisan breads.”
Bakels will be launching more product categories for broadcast during the upcoming months via its Facebook channel.
