A new Disney-themed café has opened in London’s upmarket department store Harrods this month.
The 100-seater pop-up Disney Café by Harrods, which opened last weekend on the retailer’s fourth floor, serves a selection of sandwiches, salads, desserts, drinks and an afternoon tea targeted at families in the run-up to Christmas.
The new café is the first food outlet from the Disney brand outside its theme park attractions in a collaborative move with Harrods to complement a 7,000sq ft pop-up Disney boutique, which opened in the department store last month.
Other features of the café include storytelling and a number of screens around the room playing Disney films for its younger guests.
Paul Goodale, director of restaurants and kitchens at Harrods, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Disney on what promises to be an exciting and unique family dining experience.”
Anna Hill, CMO of The Walt Disney Company UK & Ireland, said: “Disney is committed to creating fun and imaginative experiences for families to enjoy together, and we’ve worked closely with Harrods to ensure that the café encapsulates the magic of Disney and the quality for which both brands are renowned.”
