Loma’s new Manchester flagship centre

Machinery manufacturer Loma Systems has said that its new flagship centre in Denton, Manchester will “help drive forward development of advanced inspection technology”.

The new site offers sales, engineering, and research & development (R&D) functions. It also has a demonstration area, for training and product testing.

Loma manufactures in-line metal detection, checkweighing and X-ray inspection equipment for the global food industry.

Its other production facilities are in Farnborough and the Czech Republic.

The new centre is headed up by Hitesh Hirani (pictured), Loma’s technical director. He said: “The technical centre is part of Loma’s continued commitment to R&D for in-line product inspection systems, and is already fulfilling technology and product development objectives.

“The increased research capability and investment will help ensure we continue to build on our success to date and maintain our global competitiveness.”
