Dorset-based Wall’s Pastry has launched The Wall’s Helping Hand campaign, which will fund a regeneration project for one UK community.
As part of the campaign, Wall’s Pastry will find the UK community it deems most in need of a helping hand – it will then fund a £5,000 regeneration project in the area.
The Wall’s Helping Hand campaign urges communities to submit details of an area that deserves a makeover, or to nominate someone who makes a real difference to the community.
From renovating a scout hut or playground to recognising an important unsung hero with a transformation to their home or garden, a £5,000 regeneration project is on offer.
The financial boost to communities is the first element of the wider Helping Hand campaign, which will see support given to all Wall’s Pastry customers, according to the company.
Michael Holton, brand manager for Wall’s Pastry, said: “The local community - and families and people living within them - are a key target market and of huge importance to the Wall’s brand, so we wanted to carry out a campaign to do something for them; to give something back to the local communities in which we operate.”
The winning project will see a renovation programme take place over a period of five days, to make a real difference to the community.
Wall’s Pastry is asking for submissions to be accompanied by images of the community area that is being put forward. The winning nominee will also be rewarded with a £500 cash prize for putting forward their project. Entries close on 17 July.
