Genius extends range with beetroot and kale wraps

Gluten-free bakery company Genius has unveiled a duo of brightly-coloured NPD, Fibre Fest Beetroot Wraps and Fibre Fest Kale Wraps.

The wraps are part of a new ‘Good for the Gut’ range that will be rolling out this year, suitable for coeliacs, vegans and vegetarians.

The plant-based wraps provide three times the amount of fibre, and one-third less carbohydrates compared to regular gluten-containing wraps, according to Genius. They also contain chicory root inulin, a naturally occurring prebiotic fibre that contributes to healthy gut function, it added.

“We’re always innovating in the Genius kitchen to come up with tasty and nutritious ideas that fit around our customers’ lifestyle needs. We can’t wait for customers to try the ‘Good for the Gut’ range and we look forward to hearing how they feel,” said Genius founder Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne.

Genius Fibre Fest Wraps are available in Tesco this month and will be rolling out in Sainsbury’s and Ocado as of September. Each pack contains four wraps with an rsp of £2.75.

The launch comes after Genius announced it was ending production of unbranded products last year, to focus on its own-label range.

It also follows the recent launch by Warburtons which rolled out beetroot wraps as part of its gluten-free range last month.
