Patisserie Valerie has opened its first concession stores in retailer Next, with more planned according to British Baker sister-publication M&C Report.

The concessions have opened at the Gallagher Retail Park in Cheltenham, and the Manchester Fort Shopping Park, with another due to open in the Trafford Retail Park in Manchester, in early December.

The patisserie chain also revealed that it was open to working with other café or coffee shop operators.

In March this year British Baker reported that Patisserie Valerie had acquired seven sites based at London railway stations from rival retail bakery business Paul. The chain, owned by Risk Capital, said it had increased its estate by over 50% in the last two years, with more than 100 shops.
