A bagel from a family-run firm, a Jason’s Sourdough loaf, Warburtons crumpets, and cake from Dougies Goodies are among the top trending Deliveroo orders this year.

The online delivery platform unveiled its latest annual ‘Deliveroo 100 report’, curated from data such as year-on-year growth of orders and customer ratings on its app. It also said it looked at popularity and influence on social media across nine international markets.

Topping both the UK and global lists was ‘The Classic’ from Papo’s Bagels in Dalston, northeast London, which combines smoked salmon, cream cheese, sliced red onion, tomatoes, and capers inside a handmade NYC-style bagel (rsp: £10.80). Deliveroo described the result as “a remarkable achievement” by the London-based business founded by husband-and-wife duo Gabriel and Georgia Gomez in 2020.

Papo’s Bagels beat out restaurant giants and well-known international chains to secure the number one position worldwide. “Their success highlights how authentic, locally-run establishments can capture the appetite and love of a nation for new and trending dishes,” said Deliveroo. It also noted an explosion in popularity of bagels across the country, particularly in London, a trend underscored by high-profile launches this year including pop-ups like Coach’s Bagels cart at Selfridges and the B-Bagel rooftop takeover – these proved the classic item is having an “undeniable cultural moment,” added Deliveroo.

Bagels, burgers, and sandwiches dominated orders in 2025. The Dirty Meal Deal by Reading burger restaurant 7Bone came seventh in the global list. “The world is telling us that a simple, portable and triple-layered format is loved when it comes to a satisfying delivery,” asserted Deliveroo.

Other bakery orders making it into the Top 30 of the UK trending list 2025 were Crunch Ultimate Combo by sandwich brand Crunch in London (third spot), The Great White loaf by Jason’s Sourdough (fourth, as ordered from Morrisons in Manchester), Breakfast Bao from Pablo Eggsgobao in Edinburgh (sixth), Warburtons Crumpets (16th, as ordered from Asda Express in Leeds), and Iced layer cake from Dougies Goodies in Belfast (19th).

Two of these brands were in attendance at the recent Baking Industry Awards 2025. Geary’s Bakeries, which produces the Jason’s Sourdough range, won Bakery Manufacturer of the Year while Dougies Goodies was honoured as a finalist in the Craft Bakery Business of the Year category.

“Marking our ninth year, the Deliveroo 100 is more than a list – it’s a definitive snapshot of global cravings and consumer habits,” said Deliveroo vice president of regional growth, Jeff Wemyss. “This year’s list clearly shows the strong connection between communities and their beloved independent restaurants, which sit proudly alongside our favourite chains.”
