Kara, the foodservice brand of Finsbury Food Group, has expanded its line-up with the launch of Sourdough Doughballs.
The doughballs, which can be used to create rustic styled pizza bases, focaccia bread and garlic breads, are rolled and baked to offer customers a “truly authentic experience”. Kara describes the texture of the Sourdough Doughballs as light and airy inside with a crispy outside.
“The sourdough will allow vendors to offer a premium twist on a classic dish, which can reinvigorate menus, and coming as a frozen ball rather than a ready rolled base allows for minimum storage,” said Kara marketing manager Jane Deegan.
“With sourdough growing in popularity, and with the doughballs’ distinct flavour profile and enhanced aromas, customers can now be taken on a new sensory experience. We at Kara are excited and pleased to add the new doughball to our already popular range.”
Kara has created a series of ‘how to Doughball’ videos to showcase recipe ideas and demonstrate the versatility of the doughballs.
