Aberdeenshire-based bakery J&I Smith Bakers has won Gold awards at the World Scotch Pie Championships for its Mince Bridie and Football Pie products.
Running for its 18th year and supported by Scottish Bakers, the awards were presented by TV personality and entrepreneur Carol Smillie.
J&I Smith Bakers, which also received a Bronze accolade in the hot savoury category, put eight different products forward for the competition.
A spokesperson for the business said the company was delighted with its wins.
“To have been judged as one of the best in land against so many of our peers is a huge achievement.”
Nearly 100 butchers and bakers entered more than 500 products, which were judged by a panel including Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh and Scottish Professional Football League board member Ian Maxwell.
Brownings the Bakers was also successful at the World Scotch Pie Championships after winning the top award in the Scotch Pie category.
