Mysupermarket.com has analysed the prices of various baked goods over the last year, with many items found to be cheaper, but a few significantly more expensive.

The prices were found by determining the average price for the product across the month.

The website found that bagels, crumpets, muffins, scones, brown bread and white bread were now cheaper than they were a year ago.

The biggest rise in price from March 2015 to February 2016 is gluten-free bread, which is now 39p more expensive, followed by croissants, which are up by 13p.

Muffins and scones were cheaper in February 2016 than they have been since March 2015.

The product that has stayed the most consistent in price is crumpets. However, white bread has remained the same since September last year.

Last week, the website said that grocery prices had dropped to their lowest levels in more than a year.
