Brioche Pasquier opens second UK production line

French bakery and patisserie producer Brioche Pasquier has unveiled a second production line at its site in Milton Keynes.

The new line will produce Pains au Lait Chocolate Chips following the official ‘grand opening’ this week by company CEO Pascal Pasquier, son of the original baker, Gabriel Pasquier.

Brioche Pasquier’s Pains au Lait and Pains au Lait Chocolate Chips, produced at its 160,000sq ft Milton Keynes site, will be supplied to the UK retail market.

“It is fantastic to be able to open the second line in our new factory which will enable us to bake more than 20,000 of our Pains au Lait Chocolate Chips every hour,” said Olivier Ripoche, managing director of Brioche Pasquier UK.

The launch was prompted by the growth in the morning goods market, which has increased 6.4% year on year (Kantar Worldpanel 52w/e 18 June).

“This leaves us very optimistic for the future of our products, which have become staples of the bakery sections in supermarkets across the UK,” Ripoche added.

The business told British Baker it has plans to expand its Milton Keynes site by an additional 70,000sq ft and add four more production lines in the next five to 10 years.
