FEM rides a wave with new blender

Foodservice Equipment Marketing (FEM) has launched a new blender, capable of making iced coffee drinks in 12 seconds.

The East Kilbride firm's Hamilton Beach Tempest blender uses a patented wave action, 3HP motor and two speed settings jump cycle and pulse button to break down ice into smooth drinks. Its automatic shut-off timer also allows staff to leave drinks to blend unattended, and incorporates a red light that flashes on the base if the jug is not positioned correctly.

Its 1.9-litre stackable jug comes with clear measuring marks and a temperature gauge that alerts the operator to run the cool-down cycle and prevent motor burn-out.
