CSM slashes workforce at two of its plants

Bakery product supplier, CSM has announced an overall reduction in its workforce, with a total of 125 full-time employee redundancies.

The jobs cuts have taken place at its factories in Wirral, UK, and Aartselaar, Belgium, and make up a total of 30% of the workforce across the two sites.

CSM said the measures form part of its strategy to "improve efficiencies in the supply chain" and to strengthen its position in bakery supplies.
