Holland’s poll reveals dads prefer pies to gifts on Father’s Day

Almost a third (28%) of UK dads have said they would rather their favourite pie than gifts for Father’s Day (18 June 2017), according to research from Holland’s Pies.

The research, which was conducted through Holland’s social media channels during April 2017, showed that 30% opted for a chippy tea as their treat of choice, while a relaxing massage only tempted 14% of dads, but 27% did opt for a pint down their local pub.

Holland’s said that from its results, food is really the way to a man’s heart.

“This research really does show that it’s the thought that counts, rather than an expensive or extravagant gift this Father’s Day,” said Leanne Holcroft, brand manager at Holland’s Pies.

“It’s great to see that something as simple as their favourite pie is the way to Dad’s heart, and will be especially welcome news to those who are a little strapped for cash.”

Holland’s has highlighted a number of its pie ranges for dads to indulge into this Father’s Day, including its two new Micro Pies that were released into 400 Tesco stores from March 2017.
